If you have been burying your head in the sand for too long or are planning to take up exercise or even prepare for an event, it is important to start with an understanding of your present position. You have to ’see it as it is’ first and then plan how you will address the changes and improve the areas that are weakest to bring balance and improvements that are measured, safe and long lasting.
Often people just start running without knowing why, how fast, how long and how often. This leads to burn out, injury and a sense of defeat.
By appointment only, Flying High will conduct a full health screening & fitness assessment so that you can see in black & white what your levels of strength are and identify areas for improvement. The process will take a maximum of two hours (often less) and the following will be used to compile a report of your health & fitness levels:
1. Completion of a Physical Activity Preparedness Questionnaire (PARQ)
2. Identification of your risk factor status for Coronary Heart/ Arterial Disease (CHD/CAD)
3. Identification of any medical contraindications to exercise.
4. Medical Referral (if necessary)
5. Fitness Assessment
The fitness assessment includes:
Cardiorespiratory assessment (VO2MAX)
Body Composition Measurement
Body Mass Index
Muscular Strength & Endurance Testing
Flexibility Assessment
Postural Assessment
